Paper Prototype

It was a challenge to make these paper prototypes because I'm not very artistic and I really don't have good ideas. It did not help me solve any of my problems it gave me more because I don't know how to draw well.

Games

  • How did the two games handle the issue of homelessness? The two games illustrated how homelessness is a problem.
  • Do you think one was better than the other? I believe some of the illustrations are better than the other but they both got the point across.
  • What would you do to improve either game? I would make them where you could actually move and do stuff with the players.
  • What kind of a game would you make about this issue? A game that shows the audience how a homeless person goes through their day.

    Present Game

  • The Big Idea: Describe your learning topic for the game. What is the most important thing you want your players to learn? What I want the player to learn from my game is to learn about Malcolm.
  • Research: What kind of research did you do? What did you learn about your topic? The research that I did was unusual facts or facts people may not know about Malcolm X. I learned about my topic some more things about Malcolm X about his death and how it happened.
  • Making Decisions: How did your ideas change as you worked on your game? My ideas changed by the more stuff I learned.
  • Mastering Programming: What Game Ingredients and Help Center resources have been most useful to you so far, and why? The Parallax Scrolling helped me the most because it fit with my game and the coding was simple.
  • Overcoming Challenges: Which part of making the game was most difficult for you? How did you overcome this difficulty? What features are you most proud of in your game? The most difficult part of the game to me was drawing, being creative, and putting in code the right way. The way I over came this difficulty is by asking classmates and slowing down and realizing my mistakes. The features I am most proud of in my game is the drawing because I really can't draw all that well and this is good for me.

    Paper Prototype

My game paper prototyping was hard. I have to look up collectibles that resemble Malcolm X and think of what he was interested in and what he was about. I wanted to put in my game things Malcolm X didn't know about so they could learn.  There's a lot of things that resemble Malcolm X but I want to put things in my game they maybe didn't know. In my game I want to make it fun so I can attract people to it and not make them go to sleep on my game.

    Choose Learning Topic

Backstory- Malcolm X originally named Malcolm Little was one of the biggest civil rights leaders of his time and even now. Malcolm X changed his last name from Little to X to show the rejection of his slave name. Malcolm X believed in people defending themselves against white aggression by any means necessary. When playing this game you will not be avoiding anything you just have to click the facts about Malcolm X before the time is up. The mission of this game is to collect all the facts before the time is up.

    Learn To Design For Mobile

    BLOG
For the console the side scrolling games have more complex controls and if it's on a mobile phone people have to make it more simple because it doesn't have as much controls as a console.

The differences between a mobile and a console is that a console has more complex controls and a mobile phone has less controls to do a lot.
