What challenges do the penguins have to overcome?
The penguins have to overcome the brutal weather and hunger.

How does their habitat challenge their livelihood each day?
Their habitat threatens their life because when it's cold they can freeze to death but after the winter is over it's summer and they can swim the seals are looking for food.

What types of adaptations do penguins need in order to survive brutal winters as well as predators?
The baby penguins have to gain muscle to swim back and the parents have to overcome eating and predators do too.

Why is there a period of time in which there is practically no sunlight? What affect can no sunlight have on this region of Antarctica?

How could climate change negatively impact the mating ritual of the Emperor Penguins?
It can affect them because they can miss mating season
